Hello! We just got back from BlogPaws yesterday and I’m still recovering from the “BlogPaws” hangover! We had a blast and met so many new friends and reunited with old friends. I’m super excited and grateful about the future of this blog and my business based on some of the conversations and connections I made while out in Lake Las Vegas. After reading 25 Things to Do After BlogPaws Conference, my to-do list is a mile long! I promise I will be sharing some of the hundreds of pics we took in the coming days. Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see some of Chuy’s adventures from BlogPaws. We are definitely going through Vegas withdraws!
The Business of Pet Blogging
Yes, blogging is a business. This is not just some “hobby” for me. For others it may be and that’s perfectly ok! I run my blogs as a business and my ultimate goal is do be able to do this full-time so that I can have one boss, myself! Becoming part of the BlogPaws online community and attending the conferences each year has been instrumental in helping me with my career goals. It’s like I found “my people” online that share my same passions; pets, blogging, and education.
“If you don’t build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs.”
If you aren’t familiar with BlogPaws, it’s THE place for pet bloggers to learn more about social media and blogging as a business. It also connects pet bloggers with brands so that we can bring you amazing content. Pet blogging isn’t just about brands and business either . . . it’s about giving pets a voice. Blogging and social media can reach millions of people to help spread the word about adoption, animal rights, and so much more!
Bloggers and Brands – The Future of Marketing
At the keynote last week, Dino Dogan talked about how bloggers are the new celebrities. Paying millions of dollars for a TV ad or a one time magazine/newspaper ad no longer has the same value as it did years ago. People are looking to bloggers and social media influencers to get information.
I’m part of the BlogPaws Pet Blogger Influencer Group. Each month we provide feedback with the BlogPaws staff and they compile that information into an infographic. I figured it was perfect timing to share this month’s infographic since the BlogPaws conference has just ended and it’s time to start connecting with the brands and bloggers I just met.
