It’s been a few years since we took Chuy for pics with Santa so we decided to check out the Ice Palace at MacArthur Center this past Sunday night in Norfolk, VA. We had such a good time and I wanted to share our experience with you!
It felt so cool to just walk right into the mall with Chuy! I really liked that the pet photos are scheduled after all the stores close so that the animals aren’t scared by all the shoppers walking around! I’m sure Chuy was thinking “this looks so different than the park!”
The Ice Palace at MacArthur is gorgeous and not like anything else I’ve seen in the malls around here.
Once we arrived, we signed the mandatory waiver and got our number for the line. We saw so many different types of dogs waiting in line including a cat on a leash! All of the staff was super helpful and friendly!
Once it was our turn, we sat Chuy with Santa and the photographers went to work. They did a great job using squeaky toys and noises to try and get Chuy’s attention. Chuy was feeling a bit overwhelmed by being in a new place and sitting on Santa’s lap that he wouldn’t give us his signature head tilt pose!
His pic with Santa still came out cute and it’s a great way for us to remember Christmas 2014! Once you select the pic you want, there’s a variety of photo packages you can purchase.
After you take pics with Santa, they have an “Ice Throne” that you can sit in and take a few of your own pics!
I want to thank Karen Husselbee who is the Marketing Director for MacAthur Center for inviting us out and taking great care of us! We had a blast! MacArthur Center will have one more opportunity this year for your pet’s to see Santa on Sunday, December 14th from 7:30pm – 9:30pm.
