I know you probably hear me talk quite a bit about BlogPaws. This company has a special place in my heart and it’s not just because I work there full time as the Director of Community Education. I was a BlogPaws member way before I became a team member! I attended my first conference in 2013 and it has literally changed the entire direction of my career and my life! I plan on sharing more about that story in an upcoming post. But, first I wanted to break down for you what in the world BlogPaws is and how it can help you become a professional pet blogger.
What is BlogPaws?
BlogPaws is a an online educational community for pet bloggers but also has an annual 3-day conference jam-packed with educational sessions led by leading professionals, networking with influencers, a busy exhibit hall, exciting brand events, more influencers, and lots of pets. Pets are at the heart of everything BlogPaws does. Yes, ALL types of pets are welcome! I even saw mini pigs last year!
There’s also a red carpet event where nominated bloggers are presented with a prestigious award in the pet industry called the Nose to Nose Award.
Where is BlogPaws?
The conference takes place in a different city each year. For 2016, the conference will be at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa right outside of Phoenix, Arizona. I got the chance to stay at the resort with the rest of the BlogPaws team in January.
Let me tell you, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen and there’s even horses on the property! Most recently, the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort was recently named the first “Sheraton Grand Resort” in North America!
When is BlogPaws?
For 2016, the conference will take place June 23rd to June 25th. There is a welcome reception on the evening of the 22nd (and that’s Chuy’s birthday!), so it’s a good idea to fly in the day before the conference officially begins if you want to attend the reception.

My Personal BlogPaws Story
I can tell you in all honesty that this conference literally changed my life. I attended my first BlogPaws in 2013. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work with several big brands in the pet industry, contract with BlogPaws, be a BlogPaws Ambassador, and most recently I was hired as the BlogPaws Director of Community Education. I’m not promising you that you’ll find your dream job just by coming to the conference. What I can promise is that you’ll be exposed to people and brands that you would otherwise never have the chance to meet if you stay home. You NEVER know what kind of opportunities are waiting for you.
So, will I see you in Phoenix for BlogPaws 2016?! Leave me a comment so we can be sure to connect in person. Also, what questions do you have about BlogPaws or pet blogging?
