As you know, Chuy and I started a weight loss journey this year. I’m so proud of all the progress Chuy has made so far! I wanted to share a few pics of his journey to an irresistible life in photos for Wordless Wednesday.
Here is the initial vet visit when Chuy was put on . You can see on the scale he weighed 11.8 lbs! The goal is for Chuy to weigh around 8-9 pounds since he is a larger framed Chihuahua.
We started going on more walks.
Then we had to take some time off from exercise after Chuy’s back problems started flaring up again.
Chuy’s back started feeling better and we got back to walking and having fun again! I love Chuy’s zest for life! It’s contagious!
Chuy is in love with his new food from Hill’s which has helped him to lose weight!
I notice the weight loss the most in Chuy’s neck area. Here he is this past weekend at the park, looking slim!

That’s a shame about the back issues. We knew Shelties were prone to certain joint issues so they’ve had chiro checks monthly since we’ve had them.

The weight loss is obvious on Chuy! How old is he? I think Bentley’s head weighs more than 12 pounds! He is having to lose 6-8 pounds too. Tell Chuy that we are proud of him. I’m sure dropping a few pounds will help his back!
