I am a BlogPaws 2015 Conference Ambassador. BlogPaws’ Ambassadors are compensated for their assistance in promoting the BlogPaws Conference but Irresistible Pets only shares information about things we like and believe you will benefit from as well.
Last year at the BlogPaws Conference in Las Vegas, I purchased my 2015 tickets before I even got home! That’s how much I believe in the power of BlogPaws. The fun is happening this year in Nashville, TN on May 28-May 30. When I attended my first BlogPaws conference three years ago, not many people knew me and this year I’ll be attending as a BlogPaws Ambassador! Being part of the BlogPaws Community has provided me with so many amazing opportunities that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by and how much has changed in those three years for me both personally and professionally. My blog is not just a hobby or a trend. It’s a business and a platform for me to share my passion to help pet parents create an irresistible life. Let me explain how BlogPaws has helped me not only become an ambassador but take my blog to the next level.
What is a BlogPaws Ambassador?
I was (and still am) beyond honored and humbled when BlogPaws approached me to become a BlogPaws Ambassador. Is there anything better than getting paid to talk about and share what you already love and believe in?!
According to BlogPaws,
“A select group of pet bloggers is chosen each year for their professionalism and their talent in social media. Each one has demonstrated a clear understanding of the BlogPaws Mission: Shaping Social Media Excellence, Influence and Education One Amazing Pet Parent at a Time!”
My job as an ambassador is to help educate you about BlogPaws prior to the conference and assist while at the conference. That’s why you’ve seen so many different posts from me about the conference and will continue to see more as we are now in the 90 day stretch!
I say that I was humbled when BlogPaws approached me to become an Ambassador and I still am. In this “blogging game”, you sometimes start to doubt yourself or think that you’re not doing enough. Having a company that I respect and admire approach me and want me to represent them means the world to me! I guess I’m doing something right?! If you have a blog, keep improving and keep doing what you do because you NEVER know who is watching!
The Power of Networking Face to Face
Some people think that blogging is just a hobby or some “trend” that is going to pass. Well, it is a hobby in the sense that I absolutely love it and I fill all my spare time working on it. It’s also a viable business for me. Yes, I get paid to blog about my love and passion for Chuy and helping other pet parents. You might be wondering how or what that looks like? I’ll be posting a weekly blogging series from now until the BlogPaws conference to teach you a little bit more about how to blog, make money, and love what you do! If you have specific things you want me to cover, leave them in the comments down below.
I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I’m at without the networking and relationships I’ve built through BlogPaws. Working from home and interacting online is fantastic! BUT, nothing can compare to the face to face interaction you get in person at the conference. There are specific conversations that I had last year at the conference that are now becoming business opportunities! This is in addition to all of the educational workshops, the red carpet event, the meals, the pets, and the FUN!
BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network
BlogPaws has bridged the path for me to work with some big brands like PetSmart, Milk-Bone, Hills, and many others through the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I’ve also been working with BlogPaws on some special projects in addition to the ambassadorship. Check out some these stats they put together from last year:
BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network worked with over 35 brands in 2014 including LG, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Milk-Bone, Weruva, Tractor Supply, FURminator, and more! With over 1,100 sponsored blog posts, we paid out over $160,000 to participating bloggers. In 2015, we’re going even bigger with more payouts and more programs!!!
I’m not sharing any of this to brag. I’m sharing it because the reality of becoming a professional blogger is real. It is attainable. Yes, it’s a TON of hard work but if you want it bad enough, you can do it. Brands recognize the power and influence of bloggers and BlogPaws helps to make those sponsorships possible!
What If I Can’t Afford to Attend BlogPaws This Year?
Look, I get that travel can be expensive. However, if you are serious about taking your blog to the next level, you’ve got to build in a budget for learning and development. I’m an Instructional Designer by day so I know first hand how important professional development is to success. There is ALWAYS something new to learn and discover.
BlogPaws is not just a once a year conference. There is also a free online community with almost 4,500+ members that is available year round. This is where we talk to each other, ask questions, find guest posters, share content, and just chat about our pets! Head over there and sign up to get started.
Are You Going to Nashville?
I’ve got my cowgirl boots ready to go! I just need to work on a cowboy hat for Chuy. hehe. Will you be attending BlogPaws in Nashville? What questions do you have? I’d be more than happy to help answer them! Leave me a comment down below so we can chat! Check out my BlogPaws page for more info on the conference and links to all of my related posts.

I’m new to the group and would love to attend a BlogPaws Conference. I’ll probably go next year, and would love for it to be in Nashville again as I’ve never been there. Congrats on being an Ambassador – this is a huge privilege I know. I’ve been to a few blog conferences, but not a pet one, so I really do want to go to one soon!!

What a great post. I’m learning so much from you and appreciate all of the advise. I’m coming and bringing my hubby and hopefully our furry family member Shasta. We’ve decided to fly from CA so we have to see how Shasta does with the airplane transport, otherwise he is very social so paws crossed!!
