Happy Thanksgiving eve! As we start winding down for the holiday, I wanted to take a moment to share my gratitude for Chuy. I wouldve never thought a little Chihuahua would change my life in so many ways! Im forever grateful for all the ways Chuy has made my life more irresistible. Dont forget to check out our Thanksgiving Pet Safety Tips!
1. Live in the Moment
Dogs dont have a concept of a to-do list or some day. They live for right now. Chuy has taught me the importance of putting the phone down, turning off the laptop, and getting outside to LIVE life, right now! Be in the moment!
2. Patience
I still remember the first few months with Chuy. OMG, he wore down my patience big time. While my husband was deployed, it was just little Chuy and I getting to know each other. I remember having a meltdown after a bad day at work. I came home, let Chuy out, and then he shredded up an entire package of toliet paper. In the next few weeks he would attempt to eat my wedding ring, my debit card . . .and thats just a short list. I learned to have more patience which is something I wasnt blessed with.
3. Have Fun!
Life really isnt that serious. We only get one chance to make it irresistible. Chuy reminds me to laugh more and have FUN!
4. Love Harder!
I was afraid of getting a pet for many years. I know the pain of losing one after our first horse passed away. I vowed to never love another animal because I could at least control that hurt from ever coming into my life. How sad! If I stayed true to that, I would have never had all the love and happy memories from Chuy. Yea, its going to crush my heart in a million pieces one day but life is just better with Chuy. He has taught me to not be afraid to love and to love harder.
5. Never Give Up
I love when Chuy is on a mission. You can see the little gears turning in his head. He will try to do something multiple ways until he reaches his goal. Read: getting scraps off the table. Im grateful to Chuy for teaching me to never give up on my dreams and my goals.
Ok, thats about enough of that or my makeup is going to be ruined!

Puppies in the morning are the best! Happy Thanksgiving!
Aww…Chuy is adorable. He also looks like one of my puppies that I’ll be getting next week. Her name is Sophie. I’m also taking her brother Chase. Chase is solid black with a teeny bit of white on his forehead. They’re both 3 1/2 months old and as adorable as can be. It’s been 10 years since the last chi in the family. It’s high time for another. Thanks!
Awww!!! Congrats on Sophie and Chase! I want to see pics!
