We headed out to Little Island Park in Sandbridge in Virginia Beach this past weekend so my husband could do a little pier fishing and Chuy and I could get in some outdoor exercise. As you know we were in Cape Hatteras last weekend, fishing on the beach!
I really enjoy Sandbridge Beach because itβs close to home and pretty secluded compared to the Boardwalk area. The beach is dog friendly and we saw lots of dogs out for a walk since the weather was so nice compared to the Polar Vortex earlier in the week!
We saw some of the fisherman catch at least 5 sharks (no, they didnβt keep them)! Thatβs why I donβt swim in the ocean people!
Let me tell you, it was COLD and windy on top of that pier! So Chuy and I decided to go down for a walk around the beach where the wind was much nicer to us!
Trying to get a good selfie with your dog is not the easiest thing to do!
We decided to go explore under the pier. Chuy saw his Daddy up on the pier and literally tried to climb up on the posts. It was pitiful!
The weather really did warm up as the day went on. So much that we were able to take our jackets off and enjoy the sun! I think Chuy was having a spiritual moment lol.
How was your weekend? Leave us a comment below and tell us what you did!

You guys have been going on some cool outings! It’s pretty funny actually, I live in South Florida and don’t go fishing nearly as often as you guys! XD You’re inspiring me to get my fishing gear out! π

Since I work from home and we are here most of the time during the week, I love to get outdoors with Chuy on the weekends. Fishing just happens to be my husband’s new hobby lol. Although, we do go to the beach a lot even if he’s not fishing! I LOVE south Florida. I used to travel there a lot for my old job.

Looking at your beautiful pictures took me way, way back!! I went to high school in Virginia and haven’t been back in nearly 20 years. I didn’t realize how much i missed Virginia Beach until I saw your photos. Chuy is adorable, too. So glad I found you through SITS Tribe Building Challenge. Have a great day!

I absolutely love these pictures! It looks like you had so much fun! We are taking Wynston to the California beaches this spring for the first time. We have 2 houses out there but Wynston has never been so I cannot wait!
