|All bundled up to see the vet.|
Chuy the Chihuahua has not been feeling well and has had a pretty cruddy week. It all started a few days ago with shaking and lethargy. The vet said he had gastritis and sent us home on RX dog food, ID. All his blood work was perfect.
|At the vet on day 1. Waiting for blood sample results.|
The symptoms progressed and we went back for x-rays, which showed small particles in his stomach. He was given a couple of RX and sent home, again. Long story short, he started regurgitating last night (5 times within the hour) and we knew he needed to get to the ER vet. He was admitted overnight and all tests were run again. Still the same results.
- Normal blood levels
- Small particles in the tummy
- Only now, there is regurgitation on top of it all.
They are really concerned with the spitting up and are suggesting an ultra sound and talking with the internist. Like a dedicated puppy mommy, I’m heading to the appointment soon. There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for my precious Chuy.
The worst part was coming home to this empty house without our baby. I am praying for a quick recovery so that he can be back home very soon. I miss telling him to get down or stop every 10 minutes. I want my crazy baby back!

How do you handle the stress of dealing with your sick pet? Thanks for listening. I’ll keep you posted. Make sure to become a fan on Facebook to stay updated with Chuy’s progress.
