How was your Halloween?! Ours was great! We had plans to celebrate our anniversary in the mountains but due to Hurricane Sandy we weren’t able to travel anywhere! Boo! This year instead of carving pumpkins, we decided to paint some. They last longer and can be “recycled” for all of November!
If you want to learn how to make a Chihuahua Pumpkin, keep reading!
Supplies You Need
- 1 hour
I only had to pay $6 for the cost of the pumpkin since we already had the other supplies on hand.
Step by Step Instructions
You will want to do this project outside on a hard surface. I used the Chihuahua silhouette here that I had found on Obsessive Chihuahua Disorder. Print it out before you start! We decided to use white spray paint since we already did a black and silver pumpkin previously. You can choose any color you like!
Cut strips of the painters tape and stick them on the table. You will want to layer the strips.
Take the printed Chihuahua silhouette and place it on top of the tape. Then, grab your knife and begin tracing the silhouette onto the tape.
After you are done tracing, you should be able to remove the silhouette that is now a sticker(from the tape) and place it onto your pumpkin.
Once the silhouette is positioned where you want it, begin spray painting your pumpkin.
Take your time and layer as needed.
Allow the paint to dry.
Remove the “sticker” from the pumpkin. Wa la! You should now have a pretty Chihuahua pumpkin like this:
