I just love all of the different holidays and finding ways to include Chuy Chihuahua in the celebration. The human kids get Easter baskets so why not the fur kids too?! It’s so easy to make your pet an Easter basket and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money! Be sure to also check out our roundup of articles all about Easter for Dogs!
1. Grab an Easter Basket and Fill It Up!
I picked up some plastic Easter baskets at the Dollar Tree. You can also find them at any drug store, Target, or Wal-mart for a few bucks. The good thing is that I use the same one for Chuy every Easter!
2. Easter Eggs + Treats
We do an Easter Egg Hunt with Chuy every year by filling up a few plastic eggs with his favorite treats. Fill up a few eggs and hide them around the house or the yard. Your dog will have a blast looking for the eggs and eating the treats inside!
3. A New Toy
I usually get Chuy a new dog toy for his Easter basket and few new tennis balls. Chuy is obsessed with stuffed monkeys, so we had to get him this Monkey in a bunny suit!
4. Homemade Treats
Homemade dog treats are a great addition to any Easter basket! I love making treats at home like these Irresistible Bunny Bones because I can control the ingredients and know exactly what Chuy is eating.
5. Get Creative with Your Pet’s Easter Basket!
You can add anything you want to your pet’s Easter basket. If they need a new collar or accessory this is the perfect time to give it to them! If you don’t feel like making a basket, you can always do one of these Bunny Jars instead for a different look and it makes for a great gift!

I put together an Easter egg hunt for my small breed meet up group this year! We had it last weekend at a dog park and it was an absolute blast! I will also hide some eggs for Wynston on Sunday 🙂 So far for his basket I have 2 toys, Dentastix, Milkbone toothbrushes, and a new food bowl. I am sure he will love it when he sees it on Sunday!
