Christmas is right around the corner and this year we are thinking about hosting an ugly sweater party. Of course, Chuy has to be included too! I took a plain dog sweater and turned it into a tacky, gaudy, blinged out Christmas Candy themed ugly sweater using Tulip Sparkle Products. You can do this with any sweater for dogs or humans! Ugly Christmas Sweater for Dogs Tutorial
These are the steps I took to create my ugly sweater for Chuy. Feel free to follow them or just use them as a guide but remember to get creative and have fun! I found this cute but plain sweater from Walgreens and transformed it into a Christmas Candy Land!
Before you glue anything to the sweater, start by arranging the items on the sweater to get an idea of how you want it to look.
Next, I started outlining the bone with Tulip Glitter fabric paint in gold.
Once that dried, I started gluing on the Christmas candies since they were the largest items.
Then I filled in the gaps with pom poms and rhinestones. Chuy was curious about what I was doing!
Once I had everything in place, I added some extra bling with the Tulip Glitter Fabric Paint in gold. I used it to draw a few designs in the empty spaces. You can apply it thick or thin, depending on how you want it to look. It dries similar to puffy paint from back in the day. I made some squiggle lines and dots. Allow some time for everything to dry.
Heres the final result of our Ugly Sweater Challenge on Chuy! He is ready for the next party!
