Happy Fourth Birthday, Chuy!

Yesterday, 6.22.13, was Chuy’s fourth birthday. I’m still in shock over how fast time flies by. I don’t like to think about that because it makes me sad. We had plans to go to the Chihuahua meetup at a local tavern that allows dogs but given Chuy’s condition right now, we just stayed at home. I don’t want to put any extra stress on his body right now until he we meet with the surgeon to discuss options next week.

I finally got him a cake this year from Working Dog Bakery. It’s pretty safe to say that Chuy LOVED it! He hasn’t stopped trying to figure out where we put the cake lol. Here’s a video I made so you can see Chuy in action:

I ordered the 3 Tennis Ball cake from Working Dog Bakery. They did an awesome job! Chuy definitely thought it was Irresistible as you can tell from the before and after pics. We put the rest of the cake away for later. Trust me, he was NOT allowed to eat the whole thing! Although I really think he would’ve tried to!

Trying to get a decent pic of Chuy next to his cake was nearly impossible. This is about as good as it gets. He’s just like me, he howls when he wants icing!

We got so many well wishes for Chuy’s birthday on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I wanted to thank all of you for that! Chuy is one well loved Chihuahua and I can’t even imagine how it used to be before we had him. I love you little monster! Happy Birthday, Chuy! And as Neena says, and many more!
