When it comes to trying new dog food and dog treats, I’m extremely picky about what I feed Chuy Chihuahua. This comes from his history of “mystery” gastrointestinal issues. That said, I don’t do a lot of food/treats reviews unless I can really get behind the brand, their ingredients, and what they stand for.
Safe Chicken Jerky for Dogs
In all the recent news of pets getting ill or even dying from contaminated chicken jerky treats, I, like many other pet parents, am leery of trying anything new. I was introduced to Nudges dog treats and did some research before feeding them to Chuy. Nudges pet treats have not been taken off the market and are not associated with any recalls. They don’t contain any artificial flavors or fillers — just the good stuff. Nudges smell and feel really fresh!
Chuy Chihuahua Approved!
Chuy went nuts for Nudges! He really liked the taste of them. Since Chuy is about 10 lbs, I can feed him one chicken jerky treat per day. I prefer to break it up into little pieces which can be used for training treats.
Made in USA Dog Treats
The reports of contaminated chicken jerky have come from factories in China so the fact that Nudges are 100% made in the USA is extremely important to me. Nudges® dog treats are made from chicken raised in the U.S.A. All of the ingredients –from the chickens hatched and raised in the U.S. –to the added vitamins and flavors are FDA and AAFCO approved. Their treats are proudly made in Independence, Iowa where every batch is quality tested so you can feel good about giving them to your dog.
Where to Buy Nudges Dog Treats
Nudges are available at Walmart and Kroger stores nation-wide, plus many other retailers can be found by checking the store locator.
